Bomber mounted Beams

It is possible to put beams on a bomber... I had a GTB Ursa with an AAAf as it's turret... it was kick ass! but it requires you change the flags of a beam to player allowed, and use the beam free all sexp...


I will now put Terslash wanab's on the Ursa... :wickedsmile:

i just tried putting player allowed into the flags for aaaf but its not working - i'm new to this so what else do i need to do - just want to watch a sathanus be taken down bya swarm of bombers

ok, you'll need to put the aaaf in the turret's bank..


Where it says

$subsystem: Turret01****
$default pbank: ("aaaf")


and then use the beam free all thing...

hmm yeah tried that but when i open fred it says the prometus r is in the turret not the aaaf - guess i'll just have to mess about with it for a bit see if i can get it to work

wow thats cool - i put a huge beam cannon on my ursa and took down a sathanus think i'll need to scale down the beam though i kinda lost the fighter in this blue glowing ball when it fired

yeah, that'll happen, that's why I changed the aaaf to be thinner, and have a smaller glow radius...

it's fun tho, right?

yeah probally need to do something like that although it is true it add little to the playablity of the game but the first few seconds to seeing beam fire from your fighter.....well it warms the heart doesn't it or at least whats ont eh recieving end anyway

i think i'm going to take the seraphim or what ever it is the one that has liek 3 turrets or somethign on it reskin it and make it look terran turn it into a point defence fighter - another thing - i created a aaaf beam sentry gun which is fun

I've done all of that already... Even put shields on the sentry, and then AAAf...

It was kikass tho...

i take it sheilds are abit more complicated than clicking a tab in fred? hmmmm need to use that hm what it called sugeltech thing? never had a huge amount of luck with that thing
