Question for Trailer Makers!
What program did you use to make the trailer? I want to make a trailer for mine so I was just wondering...
Your going a wee bit crazy on this campaign... I don't think it'll be as anticipated as BWO, and theres really no sense in a trailer, is there?

Well, thanks for the help... I was thinking of using trailers on other things later too, but I guess I'll trash that idea because of you.
Take comments as their posted.
Look, making the trailer took the hard work and combined efforts and experience of Styxx and Dynamo. Dynamo put the thing together and captured the video from his computer, but Styxx did some heafty work rendering the sequences. He's experienced at it and its not something that we just conjured up because we wanted to.
We made a trailer because we thought it would be cool and because we had people with the talent and access to the resources. Make your decision on that basis. There are other things you can do other than trailers to get people interested in your campaign and remember that the finished products quality is by far the more important factor than any sort of PR campaign. If it is good, they will play it.
ice has a point - we've barely begun the campaign we need to work on making it fun to play then screenshots and afew mysterious comments about how it all ends will do the trick alot easier than making a trailer
True we'll stick to that right now
Well, if you really want to know, I used MGI Videowave III to edit the trailer (splicing scenes together, adding text and music effects) and to capture the video from another computer. I'm not sure what program Styxx used to make the rendered scenes with, but I think you can do that with at least Truespace 2 or higher.

No, I was wondering how you got the video in the first place...

I have the Video Wave III Demo and it expired, but is there another program out there that is simmilar to the ANI Builder for the Trailers like that? And also what other program besides TrueSpace that you can make the models with, cause I really don't like TrueSpace. I think Robotech uses something called a Fighter Blender? Or something like that?

What? I'm not crazy! But the rest of you are!

IMHO, it's the best free thing on the net.
Just go into the system registry and delete the file that keeps track of how long you've had the Movie thing...
