Warzone system
just asmall q if this is set after warzone do we still have access to the 3 systems and the knossos portal? (and whatever goodies contained within
)
We're probably not going to go near those systems, but yes the systems are still open.
I suppose I should mention that the corridor has stabilized and the portal has been deconstructed for further study.
The GTVA however, is not actively persuing operations in the systems. Only Mintaka has a small presence of gas miners and light military patrols and sensor buoys.
thats kewl fanku
Thats a bit surprising, considering Kaus Borealis has an Earthlike planet just ripe for colonization

Actually, that planet is a dead world. Used to be something quite different tho
*mind working*
Knossos portal.... going to a system.... why would they build the knossos portal...... resources...... need to esablish colony......... who made the portals....
was it an ancients colony?
Basically your saying the earthlike planet in KB was an Ancient planet that got razed like Vasuda Prime, thousands of years ago.
Still... the planet is cool enough now that water is in a liquid form. While deserted, it would at least be a good base of ops in that area, at the very least a mining colony.
At one point there was going to be a plot tie in with the planet, but that didn't fit quite right so its just eye candy, but I wanted to leave the impression that someone else had been there before and the Shivans wiped them out.
Yes it could have been an ancient colony. The ancients did build the Knossos portal and we know that there is definately more than 1...there are 3 in FreeSpace 2 and whose to say that there aren't more.
