An Idea
I'm sure most of you have heard about the upcoming game Freespace 2. It looks really exciting and i cant wait for it to be released. However the release date keeps getting pushed back and back and no one can really be certain when the game will be released.
I propose an idea, one that could re-shape the way people look at freespace 2. If if is possible to convert freespace 2 into a game very similar to the idea behind freelancer, that is a persistant universe, where what ever you do shapes the world around you.
I wont go into too much detail yet, but please if anyone is interested let me know.

lol, i could've sworn i proof read that!! oh well it should read:
"i'm sure you've all heard about the upcoming game Freelancer"
Damn confusing game names!
LOL
Unfortunately, I can't think of any way of making FreeSpace persistent any way like FreeLancer is.
I know what you mean, i certainly don't know how to do it myself. I was just curious to see if there was anyone out there who might know how to, or anyone willing to try.

You'd have to restructure and reprogram the entire game.
That'd be a little much
privateer 2 would have made for good online persistant game - but is old now - but still the graphics are great considering how old it is
