Flying Saucers?!

Has anyone ever done a large cliched flying saucer object? With loads of turrets all around it? Must be a piece of cake to make, its only a squashed sphere with pyramids on it for turrets, couple of texture maps on it?

Be good if it was ancient texture mapped too. As if to make out they that have been here to Earth before. If they weren't wiped out that is....

...do we definitely know they have been wiped out or could they have escaped?

Anyways has anyone done a large flying saucer with loads of weapons points?
