Wrong Direction?
I don't want to get on anyone's tits, but isn't the making of super ships / fighters slightly err.. boring? What I liked about FS games was the body count because of the large number of fairly average ships: whole squadrons got wiped out.
Having the next generation fighter (TM) is good, but wouldn't a clash of large numbers of standard craft be more fun?
Just a thought. I don't know how to make these things anyway, so I'm not really qualified.
Yeah but you can take pride in destroying super fighters by the masses. You can have large ships but still have large battles with smaller ships. Average ships can get boring sometimes as they are easily destroyed. New ships which are stronger than you are more of a challenge
i have to say super fighters are fun - after 7 wingmen have fallen to a single fighter and your hulls jsut about to crack and you destory it in a normal fighter after about 15-20 mins of dogfighting - the amount of satifaction is very high - normallya single fighter is now threat on its own its nice to have a change - i based my super fighter on an epissode of space above and beyond teh angriest angel - where its upto you to stop an unstopable fighter - great fun
and after a while super ships are normal ships as the other side roles out there next generation fighter.

Technology marches on. There's no stopping it.
That's all true. As long as no new craft is too powerful, I suppose it adds to the game.
Jabu, are you the one making Fall of Night? It looks really good.
