Well, might as well introduce myself......
I'm A2597, the Man with his head stuck in the Blender.

now that THATS done, are there any high-quality FS models for DL for making render etc?

You can easily convert the models from the game into .cob format.

And there was a site with a few nice-looking FS models for rendering, I think Reaperman made a few.
