Volition Q??? About Fs2

I was pondering away at your weapons data that was written into Freespace2 and needed some measurements for the following please:

Damage
Mass
Velocity
Armour Factor
Shield Factor
Subsystem Factor
Energy Consumed
Weapon Range
Cargo Size
Blast Force
Shockwave Speed
Impact Explosion Radius

What exactly do you need to know?

Damage is overall, before being divided...

It is divided into Armor Damage (Hull damage), Shield damage, and Subsystem damage (for disabling)...Etc...

For a shield disruptor, you add a higher factor to shield damage than the other two. I.e.:

quote:
$Armor Factor: 0.0
$Shield Factor: 0.5
$Subsystem Factor: 1.0

Taken From the Akheton Laser:

No damage is done to the hull, whereas half is done to shields, and a full 100% is done to subsystems. This can be done in any order, and not even need to be the Akheton... You'll get the hang of it soon...

I hope this is what you asked...

i didn't imply that i needed information but what units each one is measured in! IE metres, seconds, newtons etc

Well, a ships hull can have, say 500 hitpoints, and a laser, like the subach, may do 15 damage, before being multiplied by the above things...

If it says $Armor damage: 10 then the laser would do 150 damage to your hull, but if it says $shield damage: .3 then it wouldn't cause it would never get through your shield...
