Attn Admins

I found a bug in the UBB script; if you make a post and then delete it, your post count doesn't go down to reflect your deleting it. Or is this not a bug?

On second thought, let's NOT go to Camelot.
'Tis a silly place.

It's not really a bug since you made the post at one point, anyways.

okay, makes sense.

But does it? If you make a post and no one is there to read it, did you make the post at all?

This is a huge can of philosophical worms we've opened here, folks!

Yes, cuz you have seen the post and have used some server capacity of the TF server.

You and Plasma both have good points Slanker. In Plasma's favor, why should you have the post on your count if you deleted it? In your favor, you did use the TF server to make the post and you at least have seen it. The question raised there is "Will anyone believe you made that post?"

<on topic>
Post counts are not decreased in the UBB software because of the server drain of editing all the member profiles. Although this does not necessarily apply to deleting one post, imagine pruning threads by date, or deleting Tell a Story!
