CS 1.0 + WickedGL Voodoo drivers

I can't remember who asked me for these, but go here :
www.wicked3d.com

The drivers are about 2mb I think

oh, and these make an incredible amount of difference to Frames per second if yu have a voodoo banshee/2/3 - my voodoo 3 2000 has now jumped from 15fps to 65fps!!! (normally 30fps during a game)

Thanks. I've been having a lot of CS FPS problems lately. Hope this fixes them.

D00d. So if I use a V3 APG graphics card, this'll make a huge jump? w00t! Im getting me some of those!

Posted by Slanker on 11-21-2000 02:18 PM:

I have a V 3 3k... no damn 2k !!!

Posted by Alphakiller on 11-22-2000 06:19 AM:

um, there have to be side-effects to this, right? I have a V2 somethingoranother (the 8mb version) so is this gonna fux0r my computer but at the same time give me a framerate jump in CS?

Sidenote: Arabstreets blows for framerate. I get like 4 fps

There should be no side-effects, as the WickedGl mini-driver is ONLY installed into the relevant game directory. It does not take over from the general 3dfx drivers used for FS2 etc.... ok?

oh, DONT use it for Quake3 - it actually reduces the efficiencey of the game engine

Hey, I'm not seeing any real framerate jump, maybe I just need to use it some more.

I have a V3 2K PCI, and got the WickedGL driveres. It made a big diff for TFC (which i only play cause downloading 80 mb of CS 1 takes too long). So they do work, just so ya'll know.

OK, for me it's more of a 10fps push, which is quite nice.

Razzle: Get Front Line Force. Better than CS and TFC, IMO.
