Two Endings, Two Choices

Alrighty, jump starting some discussion here.

What do you guys think is going to happen at both endings of the game? Which side will you choose?

(note: No im not telling you which sides there are to take)

Posted by Snipes on 02-04-2001 03:15 AM:

I'm chosing the side fighting for Sol, the first time around.

Then I'll try the GTVA's side.

But what is it your asking?

Posted by IceFire on 02-04-2001 03:17 AM:

Interesting. Well, im just asking for some speculation on how you guys think things are going to end.

Are you implying that the two sides won't be Sol & GTVA?

Posted by Ghost of Bobboau on 02-04-2001 03:19 AM:

I'm not stupid enugh to fight aganced the Golgotha, so what ever side it is on I'm on. but then again SOL's prety nasty to fight too.

I'm implying that there are never two sides painted in black and white and the difference between your enemies and your friends can be so very slight that its hard to tell the difference.

I personally can't wait to finish the campaign so that people can see the twisting turning path that we've layed out for you. Choices choices choices.

Me ill choice SOL side first but i dont see how SOL will be able to win heheh. most off the GTA fleet was out fighting the shivans but of corse they can build ships if they have a ship yard. oh well

The destyors killed use and now were gone oh well. to bad for use

So your saying that this campaign requires you to have, dare I say it, "morals?"

Where you have to believe you are right, to fight for one side? and though neither side is right, you have to choose from the lesser of two evils?

Sol, I would fight for Sol. (I like the Athena )

Posted by IceFire on 02-04-2001 05:15 PM:

Well...I think its going to work out that neither side is exactly wrong....

In any case, you'll be playing the campaign twice to see everything.

Posted by dredhawk on 02-04-2001 05:25 PM:

Me ill be playing the campaign more then twice me i have play the FS and FS2 campaign 5 times at the least.

I´ll be on the winner side.

Posted by Turnsky on 02-04-2001 11:34 PM:

so you are saying icefire that the two sides are good or bad depending on what one's perspective is?

Turnsky is too smart, we must kill him

Any way, I will be playing it multiple times...
And If I find myself against the Golgotha, I will disable it's main beam cannon, and render it useless...

Posted by Shrike on 02-05-2001 01:56 AM:

*Snipes: I'll get you Golgotha scum!*

*Golgotha captain: $Remove Tag: "Huge"*

*Snipes: Huh? What are you doing?*

*Golgotha gunner: Now firing meson cannon*

*Snipes: Oohh Sh.....>poof<*

Good luck, it's a lot harder to disable than you think. Trust, I've experienced that first hand.

Even with treb, and stilleto II's?

How about a helios?

Or is it as strong as the beam turret on the Scylla? </p1mp>

Posted by IceFire on 02-05-2001 05:23 AM:

The mission where you or rather the AI has to disable the beam cannon does not have Maxim, Trebs, or Disruptor cannons available. That'd be too easy.

The hitpoints are still a little low on the main turret so we'll have to work out the balancing there.

It can take a Helios hit I think full on and still have some integrity. Takes multiple Cyclops' before it scumbs too.

Posted by Shrike on 02-05-2001 07:26 AM:

I think that simply shooting Snipes with the Meson Cannon would be the best idea.
