Destiny's Destruction

Sorry I've been away for a while - I've had some problems (ie a place to live hehe) but it's all on track now

Check out the site in my sig - it's the home of my Freespace 2 campaign. It's still under construction, but the demo is now almost complete, with new voices etc (That actually sound good!!!!!)

Yeah, I'm using Cool Edit 2000 to do it.

Which do you think is best?

http://www.tokra-alliance.com/nile_jumping.wav

or

http://www.tokra-alliance.com/nile_jumping2.wav

?

It's the best Vasudan voice I could come up with. I'm still fiddling with the settings to get them *just* right.

Just out of interest, when you hear the Vasudan talk on those 2 files, can you hear wha tthe Vasudan actually says? I'm *sure* he says "up yours" at the end of the files??

I'm not sure, but I think that the Vasudan rambling could be a little to loud compared with the translation voice.

Looks like a good campaign though after checking the site out.

hmm, what about this?

http://www.tokra-alliance.com/nile_Dept.mp3 (60KB) Is that more along the lines of what you mean?

by the way, what is the difficulty level that most of you play on? it just occured ot me that I practise my missions in ultra easy, so I can speed it up when necessary, and not die early on, so I can see the entire mission works without resetting it every few minutes. I don't want ot make it too hard or easy for you guys. I've never played my mission on normal mode...

errk

Yeah, that sounds better. That's just my opinion though and it shouldn't have too much of an influence on your work.

I play on normal most of the time. It allows for more flexibility; if a mission is too hard you can turn it down, to easy and you can turn it up. So for me, it doesn't really matter what skill level the missions are designed for. If I repeatedly fail a mission, I'll adjust the settings and adjust them back again afterwards.

None of them. Check my script for Cool Edit Pro if you want...you can find it in the release 1.1 patch for TBP.

http://freespace.volitionwatch.com/babylon/downloads.php

And for the Vasudan voice...use GoldWave and its mechanize feature with a 20 value. (goldwave.com)

And be extremely careful, that the wavs are not too loud...they must never touch the limits in the end or you will get those nasty scratches!!!
