Video Card (To Alphakiller)

Hi,

I am probably annoying everyone when i go on and on and on about a video card. lol

Well, i read a review about a Gainward Video Card and i was shocked at the performance it provided.

since the gainward site is in Germany, it would cost about the same price as the product to get it into Britain.

so, i found it @ http://www.simply.co.uk/ and the Gainward's GF4 Ti4200 costs £205.63. inc. VAT.

Is this Video Card a good choice?

Oops. Missed this thread.
Anyway, Gainward is my preferred brand for a reason, IMO you're getting the best. They use high-quality components (meaning easy overclocking) and actually guarantee an OC on all their cards (hence the 'Golden Sample' you see stuck on the box, I believe)

(With close seconds being Asus and Visiontek, and that's all from personal experience.)

So the card itself, yes I believe it's a good choice. The price, well, I couldn't tell you. UK and US prices really aren't comparable, because of the different markets. If the price looks good to you, go for it.

well, to get the Ti Versions of the GF4, i would have to wait like 2-3 months.

I did see a GF4, but it turned out to be a GF4 MX460.

I would think that the *Golden Sample* versions are the fast versions.

Can you clear this up?
