weapons power?

Hi,

was wondering if anyone had any idea of the power/energy output of freespace 1/2 weapons?
And how they got to their conclusions.

In FS1, it ranges in between 0.2 for the Flail and 1.6 for the Banshee. I got this information from the Energy Consumption in the weapons.tbl under the Primary Weapons tab.

Probably means power output, as in how much energy is in each blast.
Spacebattles specialises in that stuff

OK, so I messed up. You can look it up using VPView and TBLView. Look in the weapons.tbl file, click on the primaries tab, and look at the damage column. There are also the damage modifiers depending on whether it hits shields, armor, or a subsystem.

Not enough data available.

Probably lots. But that's as accurate as you can get.

We don't know, since we've never actually seen Freespace weapons hit anything we know. Just spaceship hulls, and we don't know how strong they are.
