FS Shielding
Could someone explain to me how to make shields that work using Truespace. Also, say your ship has some holes (eg. Truespace starts swearing when you try to unify the wings and the hull) will the shields work in places where there is seemingly no ship?
The shield mesh is created as a seperate model - simply create the model, glue a light to it (as sibling) and name this combo 'shield'. Glue it to the hull as you would a LOD, turret, etc.
If any ares of the ship are not covered by this object, then they are not, AFAIK protected - except the barrel turrets, which I think may be...not sure.
