Unhappy I gots downloading problems!

I am in great aniticipation of playing this mod. The team has done a tremendous amount of work and produced a great piece of work...however I can't get at it.

I initially downloaded the installed...unfortunately the installer did not work (I was not suprised as they are unsupported). so I began to download the individual component files. Downloading from Ajatollah's site was great. I got excellent rates and a smooth download. I downloaded the animations and sounds without a hitch. However, when I attempted to download the core files there where problems. The core files link for Ajatollah's site took me to an error 404 page with an amusing image of a man hitting his head on a computer. Fileplanet (which I hate anyway) as also apparently an incorrect link. 3D downloads worked but is slow and I haven't got that kind of time tonight. I'll download through 3D downloads tomorrow, but I thought that these problems should be made known. Maybe I'm the only one...I don't know.

But rest assured, I will not stop until I have either gotten this mod or collapsed the electrical grid of the eastern seaboard. The team did a trememdous amount of work and endured a withering hail of annoying questions and nitpicks, but still prevailed in the end to produce what would be all reports seem to be one of the best mods I've ever seen. I realize that no mere words can truly compensate for the (pardon the cliche) blood, sweat, and tears of the team, but I offer them with thank even so.

First...what speed connection do you have? If it's fast (e.g. cable or DSL or something) I can send it to you, I'm sitting on several T1s and have no problem setting up a transfer.

Um, do you use ICQ/AIM? Those would work best since I have no FTP space

Details and a call from a drunken giant squid~

I have a cable modem (not a great one, but it still beats 56k) and I have ICQ and AIM. But to be honest...I don't know quite how you intend to use them.

*ring ring*
"Hello?"
"I'm a giant squid and I'm unhappy."
"Uh...that is nice ("that's" is such a sloppy contraction)"
"NICE, NICE, you are a jerk."
"Yeah, and your a squid."
*Slapping noises* "bugger off"
~phone hangs up~

Nonsense...the lifeblood of humanity.

ICQ and AIM both support direct file transfer. e.g. you log on, I log on, I hit send file, you hit recieve file, and we wait a while.

I can toss it your way almost any time of day, so if you're interested, tell me what time of day would work (and your UIN/AIM ID) and we'll try to set it up.

I had a wealth of troubles getting the core files last night and was finally able to grab them from 3DDownloads. I can toss them up in a temp web directory located in sunny PA if you can't get the ICQ hookup.

Played through the missions last night too... I need to work on my yankin' and bankin' skillz I think.

Cheers,
Mael

FilePlanet and 3DDownloads display the file as missing (404) or unavailable when there are too many users logged into the system.

Try downloading at times when there is less chance of people online downloading the files.

I managed to get it fine ok granted it took a few hours but hey I am patient, and what I saw in the demo more than makes up for being online so long, the demo is great
