B5 episode question..."Mind War"
In this one, there are 2 things I'm wondering.
--- "During the survey to Sigma-827 (or whatever the number is), the pilot encounters a very...wierd vessel, which bears a striking resemblence to some of the First Ones starships. Think that thing, which looked like a bunch of forks welded together, could've been a First One? " ---
yes they are indeed one of the first ones, named "walkers of Sigma 957"
--- "When Lionheart's ship explodes, he tells Sinclair that "we'll meet again in a million years." Is that some kind of harbinger of what we see at the end of "Deconstruction of Falling Stars" with the guy from 1,000,000 years hence leaving for the Rim? I mean, he even looked like that guy when he was diving into his encounter suit. And did Lionheart cross over beyond the Rim, where the other First Ones supposedly are" ---
Lionheart meant that he is going beyond the rim, where he will wait for, and one day meet the rest of humanity (not Sinclaire himself, but humanity), when they evolve into something like him.

That covers them questions.....next....

Short side note
When Lionheart said "see you in one million years", he was refering to all of humanity. However, when Lionheart does get beyond the rim, Sinclair will be there waiting for him.

what do you mean?
doesnt Sinclere become Valen and die?
I kno Sheridan, however, does pass beyond the rim
unless the rim is like heaven, and everyone goes there when you die...

Valen appears 1000 years before the events in Babylon 5...not 1,000,000 years.

Ice, the fact that he went back 1000 years is why he is beyond the rim now.
Accorind to JMS, Valen's body was never found. I can't find the exact quote from him, but I did find JMS saying:
"And there's some difference of opinion over exactly what Valen's final fate was. There are some legends about Valen returning someday, but so far they've been only legends, nothing more."
Noone (but us, the viewers) knows what happened to Sheriden, only that Sheriden's body wasn't in the Blue Star when the found it.
There is enough conjecture to assume that one would live forever "beyond the rim". Or else, why would they take Sheriden there just so he can die 5 minutes later somewhere else.
Thus, when Lionheart arrived beyond the rim (did he say "beyond the rim", I forget) he saw Sincliar.
Sinclair "What took you so long, I've been waiting for, like, a thousand years!"
Lionheart "What the hell happened to you head, man!"
