WIP - Orbital platform

after discussions between CptWhite and I, it was decided that I would alter the textures for the Sh'ntan class platform.

this isn't entirely finished:
LOD0 is about 90% modelled (still need destroyed turret geometry), and the texturing is about 90% finished.

Yeah....its like what CptWhite said...part orbital base, part weapons platform. It can defend itself fairly well against anything.

Although in my tests, a combined Warlock, Midwinter, and Omega group will reduce it to bits pretty quickly...but it took them some time. Thats two destroyers and one heavy cruiser....vs one platform.

I made an assumption (because of the original Sierra pic) that they were ususally placed in groups, like the God platform.. in a situation like that, these would be rather lethal.

It's also fairly well equipped against fighter attack, though it does have a few blind spots.. if you can get close enough.

The current POF settings and table entries are all subject to change.. are you using the ones I made Ice? because they were just a test really - they're not too great.. a few turret FOV problems..

We're still undecided as to an actual size of this as well.. at the very least, I think the height of the ring should be about 50 metres, therefore making it look at least feasable that people could be wandering along it.
I'd prefer a little bigger, because at that size fighters would have to launch individually.

Yeah....just using your tables at the moment. I figured that the Minbari wouldn't have too many of these guys but that they would be more than just a weapons platform (i.e. they have other uses).

Tweaking to be done no doubt.
