..i got a silly problem...i have freespace 1.00 and for playing the Babylon Project it would be better (Why??) to update to version 1.2..
Sure ,but the patch always say "Old file not found.file of the same name was found.no update since file contents do not match.."

..So, do i really need to update ???...

I wann play The Babylon mod and i cant wait...Please help me....

...are you sure you're using V.1.00, and not the upgraded game already?

ANd also, is this from the launcher? I think the launcher's update function is no longre available. If you download the update file from either this server, or [url=http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~freespace/hlp/]HLP[/url]'s downloads section you may be able to fix it.

..first i tried the update launcher but like you said its no more active...So i downloaded manually the patch ..same result...Im using really 1.00 cause for 1. the readme file says it and
2. the update launcher also recognized that there is a update to 1.2 but he downloaded ca. 9 Mb and at the end it says "failure...What is the importance of the patch...Do i really need it ??..For the B5-Project it is better...Why???

There isn't enough difference between 1.2 and 1.0 to really make a difference for TBP. The changes are minor...
