Does reg hacking affect online play?

I'm asking this because just recently, I hacked into the registry of FS1 to mske it play with better textures, but now I can't get to play online anymore. For some odd reason, the it times out while attempting to validate the pilot. I've already manually validated the account and played a few sessions, but other than the registry, nothing elses has been changed in the settings. Is the time out cause by the reg hack?

dunno, pxo has been acting up lately, but try it again without the reg hack, then you'll know for sure.

You can add the D3D settings and play online - tested with FS2 - I see no reason why it shouldn't work with FS1.
