Fan Fiction help.
I'm going to be writing an FS2 fan fiction at some point (I've got a few others already being worked on, so it may take awhile).
The fiction itself will take place 10 years after FS2. The GTVA and the Shivans will be getting a few new ships, and another race has emerged on the scene. However, I've come to a but of a snag. I want to keep the FS naming convention for the new race, but I can't quite come up with anything.
The new race is the Alcanshi, and they focus mainly on smaller attack ships and carriers, with only a few large warships.
I want to come up with something interesting for them, but all the known religions have been taken. The GTA has both Greco-Roman and Norse myth, the GVA has Egyptian myth, and the Shivans are a combination of Hindu myth and several 'evil' deities and creatures from other mythologies.
I was thinking of maybe using Central American mythology, but it may be a bit hard. Spelling some of those names, like Quetzolactal (or something like that), can be very...annoying.
So if you could give me any suggestions, I would be most appreciative.

Hmm...how about Asian mythological figures, particularly Chinese/Japanese myths and legends? Lots of names and background info to draw forth from that.
Also, Native American myths and legends have a lot of myths and legends to look into as well.

I was beginning to give up hope of a reply...

I've asked other people the same question and they also seem to say Far Eastern mythology would be a good choice.
I may do for the Alcanshi was Volition did for the Shivans: Instead of just going with one culture, I'll choose many.
I'll look for a few things and then put up my choices and thoughts.
