with all questions like this the same advice rings true -

install the latest drivers for everything

install the latest version of direct x

if this still doesn't work, reinstall the game, then patch it, then reinstall the demo.

if this still doesn't work then I'm a bit stumped. try re downloading the demo (one of the files could be corrupt I guess)

I've not heard of this SB Soundcard you have (must be very old or very new). Its quite possible that there is something that Interplay incorporates into their games, that is incompatible with a particular part of the hardware, or the soundcard's drivers have so far not been written to accomodate certain games.

Try asking Creative Labs about your problem. They may be able to suggest something. There is also an uncommon problem that occurs when using EAX. Try running DirectSound as your sound option in FS2's 'Audio' tab.

The Audigy series is the latest that Creative put on the market... So it's very new. Perhaps that is the reason why the drivers are not yet as stable as for the older SB cards...

Refering to your description of the problem, the sound is not correctly mixed. I am sure, it is a driver problem...contact Creative for this. BTW, check if this is a OEM version, cause they won't give you support then.

And if you have still probs then, reinstall Windows...
