Large Space Station
I have recently been playing with Karnak, the large space station which comes in 3 bits.
I get all the bits but how the bloody hell do you assemble them? Centre bits OK. Outside bits, huh?!?!
I have tried assembling them in 3 bits, ie three bits of Karnak A, but they just don't seem to go, I set up 3 waypoints at an equal distance apart witha central bit in the middle which I orientate the Karnak a pieces around. When I assemble them, one over laps and two have gaps between them!
Can someone explain to me how to assemble it, or tell me about a mission with it in so I can download it and have a look how they did it.
Thanks
you got to rotate each section aprox 120 degs
I'm pretty sure it comes with a mission of it already assembled which takes the guesswork out of it.
You could probably calculate the positions as well, but that requires math
The main reason why the Karnak is rarely used is due to it's being in pieces.
Dark and I decided for this for two reasons:
One, it was easier on the FreeSpace 1 engine which it was within.
Two, it worked out better for my pyrotechnics for the finale of Cardinal Spear: Vega.
This was all back in the ancient days though...

why doesn't someone just set it up so that it is properly assembled when the 2 sections are docked with the center section, it ought to be pretty easy to do that, and then you wouldn't need to mess around with orienting the peices properly.
that if you ask me of course
IceFire, you say it comes with a mission with it, where can I download it with the mission attached?
