Just wanted 2 know, how do i get ships which ive downloaded..to work in FRED, ive d/loaded ships such as the domino or the GTFr Chronos, NTD fury, i just cant get them to apear in FRED.

this is quite distressing 4 a control freak such as myself. pls can anyone shed some light on this

1) read the readme.txt, usually installment notes are there

2) POF files are placed in data\models, textures in data\maps

3) The ships.tbl file contains info about all ships in FS2. When you have an additional ship you must enter its specific entry to the ships.tbl. If it does not appear here, it does not appear at all. Then you should able to use it. To extract the original ships.tbl of FS2 you need VPView32...can't tell where exactly to get this proggy again, I am sure a nice forum member will come by and tell you.
