Electro-beams...

yes...I know I can't animate it, but just a brief flash is all I need. My problem is FS2 stretches the beam image out over a looooong distance, so all of the cool shifting around of the beam isn't there. I know you guys did an electrobeam (vorlon fighters), and I though I saw a screeny with a nice 'zapping' effect on it.

I'm not sure what you're asking for here.. if indeed anything at all.. yes we have a vorlon beam, and yes, it stretches if it misses. KMN should be able to say more.

interesting....fs2 seems to stretch the image out so that its width (or length, depending on if you look at it in game or in a gfx prog) is stretched out over the total length of the beam.
