Cool B5LR - Possibly has a future?

Hey All,

This is my first posting EVER to this forum, so I say hello now to everyone around...

So far, I've heard something about that WB still spending money on storaging the Linadra and all the Sets, Costumes, whatever. Some people say, this is because the Possibility of a series is still in question. I think this is a news that all of you know very well, so I do not spoil any more about it...

You might as well know that the Babylon 5 series ran a very long and hard way... If there will be a series, it'll possibly have the same circumstances.

But be realist; business is difficult. Maybe today we are speaking of a would-be series, but tomorrow it is possible that the show will be cancelled.

But business - I think - is also about not spending money on worthless things. In our case, WB would not spend money on the Sets, if they'd found it hopeless. So this indicates to me that there must be more than just talks between JMS and the network and WB.

Have faith, people...

The bad news I just heard last night was that Sci-Fi is moving away from space sci-fi. Thats according to JMS. I'll post the link later. We may be in for some rough roads ahead once again.

Sci-fi has been and allways will be lighly considered series or movies type, holywood rarely gives an oscar to this kind of moovies taking some rare exceptions and 90% of the times because of the FX, never to the actors or the argument, the serieas are put in a getto, and considered last interes prority on channels network, lawyers series and novels are plaging all channels here ( dont get me wrong I love some of these series but I'm getting bored fast )

Yet in the long run sci-fi series give their studios bucko-bucks.

Well the last episode of Enterprise was #2 in it's timeslot, and now ABC wants to do a Trek series, the same guys who hated the show 30 years ago.

There's a chance.

Quite honestly the sci-fi channel though I've never been impresed with. You'd expect to see cheesy monster movies and some good original stuff like the Dune remake and B5 on the channel, but no, they have to do crappy "original movies" for the pooh-tang factor...

lotr is dead though.

Chances of it coming as a series, when weighing the evidence, are slim to none.

Strider: Ever heard of "never say never"?

You don't know its dead....its impossible for you, JMS, the rest of the fanbase, and probably Sci-Fi's corporate executive to know if its dead....why? Because almost nothing is set in stone, nothing is for certain, and nothing should be taken for granted one way or the other.

It is most unlikely at this time to see a B5: Legend of the Rangers series. But its not impossible and its not for certain that it won't.
