The hand is a tough race, but its not as strong as the first ones. They are probably claiming otherwise to get other races to help them.

3rd space aliens are different. Also we know that 3rdspace aliens are undisputedly the toughest, but maybe they are not. I mean a group of younger races wiped out their scouting fleet. And the only way the Vorlon's had trouble with them was because they mind-controlled half their sentient ships. So maybe weapons/technology wise they arent that strong...

Surely telekinesis is just as much of a weapon than pulse cannons and X-ray lasers. Think, the Army of Light used telepaths to fight the Shadows.

But also, point taken about their technology not necessarily being better than Vorlon or Shadow tech. Also, we know nothing as to the numbers of 3rd Space aliens. They may only have ships nearby due to their 3rd Space gate being right by their homeworld.

Now that I think about it, Sheridan should have also sent a nuke THROUGH the Thirdspace Gate also, that way he could have blown up theirs, ala what they were trying to do in Stargate.

Except that the portal was open from their space to this space, not vice versa. And that means it was impossible to send anything through if they wanted so.

Well, we haven't actually seen the hand yet. But, if a little ship like Liandra coulddamage their tech I'm not overly scared. Granted you'd never give your allies the same technology you have (in case they get greedy), but I'm still not scared. Especially after having seen "Deconstruction of Falling Stars".

Actually, the thirdspace gate worked both ways, it was originally intended as sort of an advanced jump gate by the vorlons. It may only run one direction at any one time, or it may work both ways simultaneously. Alas, we have no way of knowing...

You saw the gate's jump effect right? Well, if we can trust to CGI team, that effect strongly suggests that the portal was open TO our space FROM their space.
