Exodus Campaign

I am currently making a freespace 2 campaign called EXODUS, and I need beta testers to test my missions, anyone interested?

Now THERE'S an original name.

Well, if you're looking for mission beta testers, does that mean the missions are already done, and you want a second opinion before you release? Or are you looking for help FREDding?

Also, will you be using MODs or is this using the original FS2 ships and weapons? A little background info on it would help gain some attention, as well.

I have currently only made one mission and am in the planning stages for the others. I just need to make sure that there are no bugs, spelling mistakes or sexp faults in each mission, and need feedback on my storyline telling me whether it makes sense, has been done before or is just crap, as I make them. There will be a couple of MODs, but not until some of the later missions. They will include a new skin for the knossos and the terran knossos device. The campaign will be basically a kind of Freespace 3, tying up all the loose ends left by Freespace 2, such as going back to Sol and the reason for the Capella nova etc. Also the name of the campaign is only a working title and any suggestions for a good name is very welcome. I am also in the process of making a simple website detailing background and how close to completion it is etc.

Okay. These sort of things tend to either grow way out of proportion or wither away and die, depending on the staff. The two big Post-Capella 'FS3' type campaigns right now are BlackWater Ops, hosted here on Volition Watch, and Inferno, hosted on Hard Light Productions. Both have demos out. I'd recommend playing through them and seeing if your ideas have been covered yet, and if you think your ideas and abilities are enough to compete with the likes of them.

What you might want to try for instead is possibly working within the framework of the mods and universes they've already set out, creating missions from a perspective not seen in their campaigns. (Example: in Inferno a scout flies in from a Shivan-infested area and you have to guard him while he returns to your base. Your campaign could have the player as that scout pilot, running a series of missions where you learn more about the Shivans.) Or you could try another time period, during the original FS2 campaign or slighly afterwards.

Since you're just starting out, I would recommend either working alone or finding one other friend (either someone you know online or in real life) to help you. People tend to be more enthusiastic if you show up with some work already done.
