Summoner 1: Killing General Pijian

Is there a trick to killing General Pijian?
My characters are no pushovers; all are 20th level, and they usually just breeze through combat. I can't keep the other guards off Flece and Rosalind, and Joseph is whaled apon by General Pijian and one or more guards. The Blue Imp isn't must help, either.

Usual way is to get help from the Jade Temple fighters. It's worth going back up the platforms to get more of them before you start the fight.

You can also sometimes cast a Firewall before the cut-scene is triggered, by creeping up on the group from the right hand side, this will eliminate one of his side-kicks at least.

Other than that, plenty of icicle and fireball attacks and backstab will do the trick....

Oh, you could try Blue Imp Sleep on the guards, or Freeze them and deal with them later....

The best thing to do in EITHER summoner is utilize your thief/assassin's backstabbing. It's extremely useful
