Red Faction Watch: VE + RF == Interview

Posted by Brando:

Yippee. Voodoo Extreme just posted up their own interview with the RF team. A good 2-page read, with 4 screenshots on the first page. I don't know if they're new or not. Shoot me, I'm not a hardcore RF fan. Here's a good copy ‡ paste:

"
Voodoo Extreme - Any plans to license the Geo-Mod engine out?

At this time our full attention is on making sure the engine serves the needs of our title effectively and in the manner we think is most appropriate. We’re not revealing any details on licensing possibilities at this time.

Voodoo Extreme - Now that the PS2 version is out the door, how is the PC build shaping up?

Volition has been developing for the two platforms simultaneously, so there’s still a few things we have to get done since it’s not a port. Aside from the usual PC-specific adjustments made for the visuals, our programmers are working on the multiplayer side of things right now so that we can offer PC gamers an on-line play experience in addition to the single player adventure. There are also various art needs, such as appropriately designed interface screens, that are getting into the game right now.

Voodoo Extreme - How is the Internet multiplayer shaping up for Red Faction? How many levels will it have and what kinds of game modes are you considering for it?

We hope to offer an on-line side of the game that will serve as a nice complement to the single player mode. Though we’re probably not being as forthright about our features as I’m sure many gamers would like, I can assure them that they will have the ability to Geo-Mod and that we will offer several multiplayer maps for them to thrash each other across. Many of these will be completely new for the PC version, and we will also try to include some of the more popular ones from the PS2 version.
"

That sound good? Here's a link. Be happy .
