Planetary Collapse
Ok so the titles a little dramatic but at least it got yay to look at this.
I have a little problem concerning the earth atmosphere model. Its a very cool model and I have gotten it into my head to use it in a normal FS2 campaign. However I have added it to the Ships.tbl file and now when ever I load up a FRED made mission it just boots me out of the game and leaves an error log is the main FS2 directory that says something about an critical error or somesuch. Any ideas on what the hell is wrong?
Note: I'm using the .tbl file from Derelict with the Terran Knossoss added as well, but it doesn't do anything weird until I add the Earth_atm part to the .tbl file.
P.S. While im thinking about it does anybody know how to make the knossoss stop rotating?

If I recall correctly, the Derelict ships.tbl adds three new ships (the reskinned Shivan Knossos, the Better Iceni, and the GTB Hydra). The ships.tbl can only handle so much data, and adding two more full ship entries to that probably pushed it over the limit. Try deleting the tech descriptions for some of the ships to free up more ships.tbl memory or getting rid of some of the more useless craft (a sentry gun, Shivan Debris, or asteroid for example).
I don't know how to make the Knossos stop rotating without editing the model itself, but you could try giving it orders to "Play Dead". I know this stops the Fautus' spinning sensor dishes from rotating.
Thanks ill go try it now.
