How to get ships tbl under 260KB

I posted this ov VBB a long while ago. It is easy to do without any deleting of other ships. First thing, delete all the comments. ALL!!!
That should get down to around 320. Now open the file in wordpad and chose the function which lets you change one word for another, I do not really remember the name. It has something to do with find and replace. In the top line type 2 spaces. Like __
In the bottom line type 1 space _. And click on replace. This will delete all the unnecessary spaces in your file thus makeing another whoping 40 KB available for new ships. Then you can go on and delete the TAB entries as well, for another 5 to 6 KB. And nbelieve me you do not have to delete a thing. I had all the mods in one tbl file and still had only 350KB. Try it and you do not have to delete a thing.

Thyriel: Our table does cut every single comment, space and waste of potential space. We've got about 60-70 ships planned and a whole lot of weapons. We've minimized the amount of space each table takes up in preparation for that. We really don't plan to officially face FS2 ships off against B5 ships. You can if you want, but thats not our goal.
