it's not meant to be... I'd have used satellite textures if I'd wanted realism.

Man, no artistic appreciation around here.

Personally, I love it. Great concept and follow through. I'd suggest bluring the borders between landmass and ocean. It seems obvious at the moment. More of a blur would add to the effect I think.

??

Isnt "scorched" meaning "burned" meaning intense heat meaning "no water?"

I wonder if the Lucy's planet destroyer weapon thingy creates heat... assuming the Lucy destroyed Sol.

Umm....the Lucifer's guns would probably create immense heat. But it would only be temporary. What really creates heat after planetary bombardment is the buildup of thick clouds of dust and debris in the atmosphere which traps the energy brought in by sunlight. So it starts to have a runaway greenhouse effect and instant charbroiled.

Note. Its most likely that this situation is impossible for the human race to bring apon itself except with Nuclear war. The typical greenhouse effect and climate change currently associated with warming trends will probably cause the next ice age rather than a runaway greenhouse effect like portrayed here.
