About sizes of the ships
Don't you think, that the size of the Nova in the demo r.1 is TOOOO BIG ?
IT's even bigger than EA heavy cruiser, but cruisers were built to replace the Novas...
And the armament of the Hyps were not Plazmas, but Pulse turrets .....
Don't you think so ?
Go watch some B5 battles...the ship sizes are different in any episode...
...and since the Nova is dreadnaught, it should be ok...
And...a cruiser is smaller than a dreaddnaught...

Hyperions (cruisers) are the oldest desighn in Earthforce. They've been there since the Dilgar war. The Nova was a late or post Dilgar war DREADNOUGHT. It is desighned to kill other capital ships, and be able to support planetary landings. It turned out to be woefully underpowered, and little more than target practice for the Minbari.
And the cruisers are significantly smaller, and less powerfull than the Novas. As demonstated in Triggy's (I think, I keep forgetting) EA Civil War mission.

Yup, that's all true Flackbait - The Nova Dreadnought (alpha version) was first produced in 2225 whereas the Hyperion Heavy Cruiser (alpha version) was first produced before 2217 (I don't have an exact date). The Hyperion when compared to the other major races was woefully underpowered even after its Midwinter refits it was still barely a match for a Nova Dreadnought.
As for the sizes, the best source for consistant size comparisons is Tim Earl's own set of official size charts that place the Nova at 1502m in length and the Hyperion at 1025m in length. The CGI in the show itself was notoriously inconsistant, especially with the sizes of the White Star, Vorlon Planet Killer and Drakh Mothership.

WEBSITE NOW UP AND RUNNING!!!!!
but...
But the Nova in the demo is large as Sharlin, and if the Omega destr. was based on the model of Nova - Omega must be bigger the Nova, right ? So what we have: we have Nova with the size of Sharlin, Omega with the size of 1,5 of Sharlin, but in the B5
, as far as I can remember, Sharlins has aprox. size as Omega.
And what about the armament of the Hyps. ?
Nova - 1500m
Sharlin - 1600m
You want to see how big they are in FS2, open the ship's pof up in modelview...
Theyre probably fairly accurate...

The Omega Destroyer is 1717m long, meaning that the rotating section is only 215m in length and the Sharlin falls right in the middle of the two for length (I know the Sharlin isn't on these charts but a commonly accepted length is 1600m).

These lengths were only very wrong in some cases only because of the CGI teams. Tim Earl who was responsible for the sizes of the various ships decided that these sizes were "official" no matter how much the CGI disagreed with them. Many of the problems stemmed from the fact that such a basis was not established properly until Season 3, when the White Star mysteriously increased in length to accomodate a couple of fighters. This new length was taken as "official" and these are the lengths that were going to be used in the game "Into the Fire" until it was canned.

KiLL. The sizes of the ships are largely accurate based on what we've seen from the most consistant sizes in the show (note: even in CGI, the same ship changed sizes).
I suggest you familiarize yourself with b5tech.com and the aformentioned size charts. Neither is 100% accurate, but in total you can piece something together.
A Sharlin is a large warship and our sizing on it is nearly perfect. I forget exact dimensions, but when put in relation to other ships, we have the sizes near perfect. The Omega is 1600 meters long, the Nova is 1400 meters long (nearly the same), the Hyperion is roughly 1100 meters long. EA Warship classes place Dreadnoughts at the top, Destroyers in the middle, and Heavy Cruisers at the bottom of the foodchain.
So, know that our sizes are a educated compromise between the various sources on the internet, comments from JMS, and based on as much CGI as we could get our hands on to compair with. The size of the Nova, Hyperion, Sharlin, and all other vessels so far release is as accurate as we can make them and alot more consistant than the CGI from the show.

Thanks IceFire for your suggestion, I will.
But , in my country, on our INet sites, charts are really differ from
yours.....
I totally accept your points about the recreation of the "feel" of the show as that is the end goal of the project. B5Tech and the size charts are good places to start for B5 ship information, as are the AoG products. None are 100% accurate to the show but I doubt that that is actually possible

watch endgame part II, the sharlin is smaller than the omega... the sharlin is taller than everything
the sizes in the mod are VERY correct, dont worry about them...
