3rd Space
I know its still way to early to be thinking about them, but I have to know: are there going to be any 3rd space ships in future releases?

Neat idea, but what would it take to take down one 3d space destroyer?
(one fleet? as of real fleet, not just 5 cap ships)
Me would like to try it out though
3rd space
of their ships will be in future release, I believe their in release 5 or 6.

hehehe
umm as for the release 5 and 6. umm as far as i know release 3 or 4 are the highest they will do.
I thought the highest they decided to go was R 1.2

hmm well as far as I know, the order is supposed to be 2 2.1 then 3 and 4. they could be get to 3 with mini patches but I think that is upin the air right now.
they're a long way off yet.....
everything up to r3 will see more EA, Minbari, Narn and Centauri ships I believe. Also see some league ships in R3 I bet. R4 I estimate will finish these races, and add shadow/vorlon ships. You might see thridspace ships then, you might not....

It's not 3rd, it's turd. I like thier ships but I feel we'd need glow maps and animated textures to do them justice. I'm promising nothing but once R2 is out and we've moved the SCP I'll consider them.

In the movie TSA fighters shields blocked beams.
Can this be implemented in TBP? Because in Fs2, beams ignore shields.
SCP gives the option.

Animated Textures for 3rd Spacers?
As far as I remember their ships looked a lot more out of metal than the shadow or vorlon fighters. I saw nothing "moving" on the ship.
Unlike the shadow fighters which seem to "strech their complete body" when the fire. That looks like they spit the bolts out (maybe they are called spitfire because of that
).
well the cap ships have some wierd mist/ nebula like stuff in their rear
True.
I forgot about them
But are their caps even possible in FS2? After all their hull has no contact to the "shivering ball" in the middle.
cough cough transparent parts. ANd if that is not possible, It will be because WE HAVE THE CODE.
It can be done... Like Knossos for example...
but we didnt see the 3dspace cap fire
so we dont have a clue what the gun looks like

I reckon no younger race ship would be able to stop it unless its in a fleet or two.

well what did the small fighter craft fire?
They fire something that looks like a fireball.
And those balls can make big wholes in Minbari Sharlins! I would estimate the whole was about 15 times bigger than the ball causing it (the ball itselv has about the sice of a Aurora's cocpit if I'm remembering right).
