Voice acting about to start !!!

The script is complete .

We have 22 roles . Small ones ( only 2-3 lines ) some medium ones ( 4-8 lines ) and a few bigger ones.


This is how it will be done :

STEP 1 : SHIPPING
We will ship out TXT-files with instructions what to do.
As soon as we have shipped out ALL assignments , we will post here : STEP 1 STARTED , and we will post the names of all voice actors that have been chosen.
All these actors should have received a mail with instructions and their part. If your name is in the list and you DIDN'T receive a mail , contact us immediately . ( one of the two responsible team members , see below )
If you DID receive a mail , contact us immediately and tell us how soon you can do it.
People who don't reply in the first days are somehow absent . Then we will immediately find someone different for the role and await answer from HIM .
As soon as we have a POSITIVE reply for EACH role we will post :
STEP 1 COMPLETE

STEP 2 : GATHERING SAMPLES
We will make a posting for EACH voice actor who succesfully sent us his audience. If your name ist not stated we didnt receive your audience somehow. If there are problems we will have to improvise , but no problem there pals.
As soon as we have ALL samples from the actors we will post :
STEP 2 COMPLETE

STEP 3 : PROCESSING
When STEP 3 starts the voice actors work is over. We have to
edit and treat the samples , convert them , apply effects and so on. This is done by the team. As soon as we are finished with this ( will be done by BLACKSHEEP ) we will post :
STEP 3 COMPLETE

When STEP 3 is complete that means we have the wav files ready to be implemented in the missions. Now it can be only a matter of days till the DEMO gets released. There are some minor aspects of polishing the chrome, not related to voice acting but to balancing and 3d-meshes.

We expect that STEP 1 starts in the next 48 hours.
This is not scrap-metal guaranteed but .... stay sharp. Definitely within THIS week.

Advice and Lamentations from the unearned savant

I must say bravo to those who have gotten parts in the mod's voice acting. I intended to sign up myself...but in a display of characteristic procrastination (it's not a sport for amateurs) and foolishness, I did not. I hope that the dialog is well written, avoiding easy jokes and excessive exposition (one of the few flaws that B5 suffered on occasion). I also hope that self defeating statements are avoided ("It is better to give than to recieve"...oh, so you're foisting a guilt trip on someone else now, eh? and "A wise man doth know himself a fool and a fool doth know himself a wise man." So, if one thinks himself a fool and thus a wise man, but then is he not a fool?).

The wise man is a fool for thinking he's a fool.(kinda reduntant) Also its better to give than to resive cause,I'd rather be layin the smackdown than reciving it.

hey did you have a list of people and their nationality that are going to give their voices I mean it wouldn give a sence of multinationality within earh forces if there was a smashing majority of people with german accent and very STRONG british accent (almost beyond recognition! as I have found on some samples) the more nationalities the merrier! even Iraquis and north coreans if it has to !

you see, if i wasnt such a lazy ass maybe i would have signed up. In reality my voice, i sound like a stoned drunk who stuffed a frog down his throat. And thats before i even open my mouth :0
