Idea to foster peace... Maybe

Anybody ever heard of that Descent4 engine the D3 community was making? Well, what's Descent all about? Flying around one the ground... What have we always wanted to do in fs2? Fly around on the ground, and in space.


I'm sure with the source code for the fanmade D4 engine, and the fs2 source, we could come together and make an excellent game.

This might end some of the flame wars that are popping up, and I'm sure the D4 community would love to fly off of a space station, and into space to destroy a Juggernaut being guarded by Descent bots... So would i

'cept the D4 team is now - IIRC - gone professional, and the engine would be propriatery (i.e. you;d have to license it). Even if they couldn't publish the game (I think V refused permission for the license), they still own the engine and code they developed.
