Cable Connection Problems

I've got Freespace 2 and I have recently got a new cable internet connection connected via a network card (LAN). For some reason FS2 won't connect to any part of PXO (not even the version check). I've set FS2 up to use LAN connection but it won't work. I have also set my firewall to allow all traffic from FS2.exe (any port). Any suggestions? I'm running WinXP Pro and I have two network cards in the machine (Cable net and LAN).
