Cool G'Kar... in another dimension

Ok... I was watching Enterprise today....
you know, the new Star Trek series.
(ok, for those doesn't live in America... maybe
you don't know just yet)

Anyway, the Captain, his engineer, and their
hot Vulcan science officer go to this Vulcan
temple for a visit.

Before they leave, by tradition the Vulcan monks
offered them something....

"the stone of G'Kar"

I am pretty sure that's what it is...
they repeated that word once or twice,
and that's exactly how they said it.

Why G'Kar?... I don't think that they did this
by accident... it's not like they don't know
there was a show called Babylon 5 and a character
named G'kar....

Makes me wonder...

Smile

(drives up in truck, the noses of a Victory and Omega sticking out the back window and a 'Beam me up' bumper sticker on the back)

No we're not.

Yeah, I heard that too. Did a little double take when I heard it.

I think it looked like a triangle or a big arrow head.

Yeah...

Ok, I was never a Trek fan before.

I think my first scifi crash was Babylon 5...
I mean, I did watch a few TNG back in the days,
but I lived in Taiwan then, and I thought it was kind
of lame...

After B5 ended and the new show canceled....
my scifi life was very empty.... so I actually
started to watch Voyager..... yes... I admit... I've sinned...
Ok, anyway, I started to watch everything Star Trek...
and it's not that bad on episode basis.

I think my mind flipped when I heard the stone of "G'Kar"...
I was in a good Star Trek mood... and that really
threw me off... I was so illogical at that one moment,
I think Vulcans would have considered me animal.

That was a very good episode though....
however, the stupid "star trek, everything in the
episold has to end in the same episode" format
killed some of the fun.

I want to know what T'Pol felt after she realized the truth....
and it just simply ended...... Gan-Ta-Ma-De Star Trek.....

It was dark greenish looking....
maybe Andreas Katsulas was one of the Vulcans....
and I didn't notice.
(maybe he is that Vulcan giving the stone!?)
but come on.... it's hard to recognize him when he's
not in his Narn makeup.

i know. You would never be able to recognize an actor playing a Narn without the makeup. (except for the voice)

even a minbari would be easier to recognize than a Narn or a Vorlon. the Vorlons would be impossible to recognize unless you personaly knew the guy that has to lug that suite around. his voice is distortd by the distortion equipment in the suite. and you of course can't see him through the suite. The shadow dont have an actor. tthey are just a bunch of CGI. You would have to be a freind or relation of the computer guy that did the Shadow's image.

Whee!

The narns built that stone because of G'Kar's popularity. Star Trek hadn't that kind of monument so they stole one from B5!

Okay, bad joke. Maybe I'll go and get some sleep.... ... .. ...leave me alone!

Actually, Enterprise it turning out to be the best trek since TNG.

I also though the stone of G'Kar was funny.

I didn't realize it until I was watching one of the TNG episodes on that marathon TNN had a few weeks back, but Andreas Katsulas plays Tomalak, the Romulan captain who keeps bothering them.

Star Trek (The first sreies, you know the old Enterprise, Captian James T. Kirk, Spock, Scotty, Dr. Mc.Coy.) actualy was kinda good. did you know that Leonard Nimoy(Spock) Actualy directed most of them? Star trek has it's good points as does Babylon 5. B5 just has more than S.trek

Well, it's nothing new for Star Trek to bite off of B5. The similarities between DS9 and B5 and stagering. And don't get me started on the episode "The Scorpion pt1" in Voyager. But that's what happens when a big corp like Paramount wants to bury an indy.

The producers of Enterprise need to look up the trem "Character Development" in some writing hand book. Anyone esle get "Generic Southern Guy" and "Generic British Guy" confused beside me? I think it is starting it's downward spiral towards Voyager land.

Oh and having seen The Fugitive, I have to say that Adreas Kutsulas is pretty easy to spot out of make-up!
