Another Newbie

Hi there, I found out about the babylon project a few days ago. Looks real cool. I just downloaded the tale of EAS Janus and I can't seem to get it to show up on the campaign choosing screen. I've put the .VP file in the FS2 folder. Excuse if this question has been asked before.

okay, did you dl the top file aswell as that is needed and also have you got the latest patch v1.1 for tbp.
Lady Rose is frenquently seen around here and may be able to help you out. I'm just dl the files now to see if they work for me.

Problem is quite simple:

.VP files are practical on normal FS2, but when you put it on like TBP, it doesn't work so easily. Since any data on /data/tables/ file will overwrite it and same goes with other data.

Medicne to this is rename /data/tables/ ship.tbl, weapon.tbl and music.tbl (last not necesary). If this doesn't fix it you can look on Karajormas FS2 FAQ at http://homepage.ntlworld.com/karajorma/freespace/fred2.html

If this doesn't fix it and you have TBP patch 1.1, I suggest you get normal version of EAS Janus(when you do that take copy of /data/tables/ contence, unless you want to keep Janus tables constantly

Thanks a lot Sigma and Lady Rose. I have now downloaded version 1.1 and the Normal version of Tale of EAS Janus. TBP and the campaigns are really outstanding. Thanks again.
