Targeting Laser

Hi everybody.
My english is very poor so please try to understand me.

Here is the question:

Can be transformed the targeting laser in some sort of fighter beam?
Must be the targeting laser set to no damage?

It produces strange numbers at the top and it does some other wacky stuff apparently.

Oh, and it means you could potentially take a enemy capital ship out with it several kilometers away since the beam range is infinate.

I think that the strange numbers are the time the laser take a lock on the ship and then "fire" the subspace missile.

that is the entire SSM.TBL

then make a heat seeking missel that has a 3K range, and call it SSM
or you could use some existing weapon and put that into the $Weapon: thing, but that is too easy.

then fire the targeting lazer at something for 2 seconds, and say goodbye

Make them aspect locking.. they should still work

they atack anything they see, includeing you, aspect seeking don't seek anything, it's just dumfire.

why not use the targeting laser as a targeting laser (T . A . G missle of FS2) like if u target it on something all the capships will try to blow away the targeted object but u haveto ceep targeting so it wont worck with fighters only for corvets when doing large bombver assults

If I remember correct, those numbers are your distance to the object the laser is pointing...

Ghost of Bobbau: What are you talking about?

-Aspect seeking is the thing you have to lock on a target and it then homes on that target.

-Heat seeking is the thing that goes after the hostile wich happens to be in in it's view cone...

If I misunderstood your post, then I am sorry and crawl back under the rock I came from...

Edit:
BTW... The bomb should be aspect seeking... (Cyclops will do fine)
