Nope.

Course' I have a GF2. You sure the stars aren't just faint and they stretch when you turn?

Crank up the brightness a bit, see if that helps.

Try doing the Registry Hack. Put the D3DTextureDivider value to 1...if you know what I mean.

Posted by JamieK on 03-26-2003 06:13 AM:

i have tried the 'D3DTextureDivider 1' already.

the brightness is not the problem.

if it was, the stars from FreeSpace 2 wouldn't show up either.

The Stars are normal with Direct3D turned off.

Yeah its a bug...I get it on my GeForce 2 as well. Don't think they ever figured it out quite.

i get the same thing with X-Wing Alliance.

Well, the Stars are fine, just the Text is screwed up.

It works on Software Rendering, but in Direct3D, its screwed up.

On GF4s only i think.

but some GF4 owners don't get any problems with it.

Are you using Anti-aliasing? Due to it's nature, it'll cause stars to disappear when they're stationary (as they're only single pixels), yet when you turn, they're drawn as lines, for a motion-blur effect, and are more pixels, and then Anti-aliasing doesn't clear them away
