WTF do i do with .vp files?

I downloaded a few mods that are just one .VP file, how do i install and play the mod? Thanks.

Just put it in your freespace2 main folder, where the other .vp files are in.

...oh oh oh...that'll bring you into trouble if you use more than one custom VP file at once....and make sure, your tbl dir is empty then...

I've not had any probs.... I'm testing a few VP files at the mo (1 with ships, tbls, etc, 1 with hi-res, 1 with ..er.. stuff) and they work. AFAIK, the precedence is;

file is data directory
files in data sub-directories (eg models)
alphabetically ordered VP files (in main directory)

I love VP files...plug and play
