Lightbulb Any requests?

Anybody have any requests for a large scale mission with ~100 ships. I will produce what seems to be the most popular/best balanced request.

I really like these large battles

Please describe the mission as well as desired forces

Make a "real" battle of the line with really lots of ships that are far away from the battle, of course use the real sound samples from movie/tv show. If you don't have them I can send some of them.

Both good ideas so far!

If either of you have .wav and/or .avi files of the relevant areas of 'In the Beginning' then could you e-mail them to me at tristan.lomas@seh.ox.ac.uk so I can evaluate what I would have to work with.

I of course would still appreciate even more ideas

BTW these missions are probably not going to work well on anything less than PIII 500MHz, 128MB RAM, 16 MB video card (low detail)

Currently I have a Battle of the line mission on the works (yes another one )
It has 6 sharlins and 28 Nials for minbari and 4 Novas 6 Hyperions , 4 Olympus and and 32 Starfuries for EA.
Its a mess, you should see the amount of ships explodin per second. and you must very carefull in fighting in the maze of beams!!!!
All capital ships of both sides provide several fighter waves.

What I want...

I want a massive Battle of the Line with:-

If you do this I'll love you forever Thankyou so much...

And soon please

Yeah time for an upgrade Like a T-bird 1800+ and 1GB of ram plus A G-force3...
Hope that was a joke.

The One - thanks for the idea but one small problem - as I have stated in other posts, in my Fred2 sessions I can only place 100 ships and anyway, as haderak says noone would be able to run it. I suspect that's the reason why the "official" TBP missions have relatively few ships, so everyone can run them. This doesn't mean of course that I can't try to create the feel of the Battle of the Line

I think that with all the ideas I have that I will put together a campaign on the EA-Minbari war, including every conflict included in the film and book. The only downside for people is that it will take a while

In exhange for some voice acting (when I script some parts) I may just allow people to beta test the missions as I create them

The oil companys pay all Alaska residents $2,000.00 a year just for living here. It's called the Perment Fund Divident, or PFD. Thats where I get my computer upgrade money. This years gets here Nov 2nd! WhooHooo!

2 gig processor
2 Gigs of RAM
Radion 8500
175 GIG hard drive.
MS Sidewinder Strategic Commander
CDRW DVD drive

and I'm fixing up the family wagon.

I love Alaska! (and I love showing off)

Unfortunatly the new round of one upmanship has started around my friends. They are all getting 21 and 24 inch monitiors now while I'm stuck with a crappy 19 inch. I though about upgrading that too but figured hardware was a better investment.

I can help if you need to, though my voice acting can only be described with a word that would get cencored anyway. But if you need mission builders, editors, testers etc., then I can help.

Well I'm making my own version of Battle at the Line, in that mission you have twelve capital ships on your side and four wings of starfuries. After few seconds you are engaged by 12 sharlins and 2 wings of nials. It's quite hopeless to win this mission, but the main point is to get the feeling of being crushed by overwhelming enemy

Wow - I just destroyed a Sharlin!

Well, not really, but I pitted a Sharling against 3 Novas, 2 Hyperions and 2 Olympus ships at a closish range, it was great to see the EA finally dealing out some damage. But they won a bit too easily, so I had 2 Sharlins jump in behind them with beams firing.... I like explosions
