Well...since FSBP isn't releasing on Monday, here is something else to DL then... :)
Well, staying true to tradition, BP isn't releasing when they said they would. Just as well I guess, as I have a 7.5 megabyte trailer to DL on monday. Mainly, IFH freeware is releasing theres on Moday! (Possible teusday, but I have an inside source saying monday)
IFH, for those who don't know, is a freeware B5Space sim. homepage here. http://mods.firstones.com/ifh/
waiting for monday stilll...

I could amit i read too quickly but, yes i will be using my flight stick to control windows media player to watch the trailer.
no. not in 2 weeks. waiting for final missions , a launcher ( not a REAL necessity at moment ) and 1 additional speech sample.
Release THIS weak at all costs.
- We decided to add briefing voices as well ( we had the opportunity : good voiceactors ! )
- Found some bugs ( already fixed except one , but that one is not important , has to do with weapon descriptions in techroom )
My personal guess is tuesday or wednesday.
And I am the one who prepares the final release-files for download.
There will be 4 files :
- TBP-Core : The mod. This one is required. The other 3 files are optional downloads. It contains completely new Interface art, models, sounds, full speech and anims ingame, missions, background art ( planets & nebulae), Intel info & anims, and some EXTRA stuff ( eventually a modified launcher )
( ??? - estimated 50-55 MB )
- TBP-music : upgrades the MOD with BABYLON 5 music. You will miss it if you dont get it. Most important optional download. ( 39.2 MB )
- TBP-anims : 4 additional animations for the briefings. Recommended for fast connection. 56k-modem users can spare it. ( 33.2 MB )
- TBP-highres : This file contains high-resolution versions of texture maps and background art. Your grafic card must support texture resolutions of 512*512 . So , if you have a voodoo2 card this is useless for you . GeForce owners and other newer cards should get this download though. ( 5.3 MB )
Those files will be self-extracting ACE archives. To install them they simply have to be extracted into the \data folder in the Freespace 2 directory.
Well , the 3 aditional download files are completed. And the TBP-Core can be finished any day now ! Stay tuned ! It's definitely worth ANY delay !

Will that hi-res update be of any use with a Riva TNT2?
You mean the additional downloads are ready? how about releasing them like a day before the actual mod, that would give everyone time to download them.
I was going to say EXACTLY what pera said
even about my riva TNT 2 card
I think TNT2s support 512x512 textures, after all, we can run Quake III cant we?

Tnt2 should handle it, its the cpu that may slow things down...

The trailer is up, just click on the link in the top message to find it
Just a warning, its going to download slow. I am on a T3 line, and it is downloading at 2.8k/sec
Consider this a practice download
I just finished downloading the IFH trailer, and all I can say is WOW. For a freeware game this early in development, it looks amazing.
Sometimes I feel like Sierra canceling their Bab5 game was a good thing. If they released their game like they should have, I doubt all these great Babylon 5 mods/games would be in development today.
thats my usual speed to DL.

all I can say is WOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!
absolutly BEUTIFUL!!! looks so incredible!
