Big day today!

Today its the 17th of May, its the Norwegian Independence Day!
Today we celebrate the forming of the Norwegian country, we celebrate our government, and being free after hundred of years under Danmark. Norway came under Sweeden in 1815, and belive it or not; thats what we celebrate. They where so kind as to giving us our own government and later; in the year 1905, we become our own country. But we celebrate our freedom from Danmark, as we got our government in 1815.
So what about the rest of you? Wich day is your national day?

Happy independance day then!

Canada has July 1st, the USA has July 4th.....what about the rest of you. Anyone live in countries where something similar is celebrated? I'd be fascinated to know!
