Hi,

I've been trying out the demo, and I have to say I'm very impressed so far!

However, I can't get past the first (!) mission. As far as I can tell, I'm firing properly (get force feedback, laser blasts and everything), but I always fail both objectives and the debrief stats show that I have fired *0* shots using primary weapons!

Is there a known issue with the weapons count and I'm just totally incompetent (I'm way out of practice at FS2 so it's more than possible)?

Or do I have a bug/bad install?

Well, do things blow up when you shoot them? If yes...I'd say bad install. Wipe clean and try again.

You could try to reinstall FS2 and TBP, then create a new pilot.
If that does not help, I dunno what helps.

Still no joy... I wanna play B5 !!!!

Hi,

I've tried the following, still with no joy:

1) Completely uninstall FS2 and delete the FS2 directory.
2) Reinstall FS2 including all options.
3) Apply the 1.20 patch.
4) Install the Core, Anim, and Music packs from the TBP.
5) Run Setup, detect graphics etc.
6) Start FS2, create new pilot, select TBP Campaign, Start.

This time, I definitely hit the enemy (the "kill" count on the HUD went up to 1 or 2), and as far as I could see one of the cruisers survived.

However, when I jumped out, it reported both cruisers were lost, and I had zero kills, zero shots fired, etc. etc. WHAT GIVES?

Has anyone else seen this? Alternatively, can someone go through the exact steps given above and try to repro this? It's driving me nuts!

faile it 5 times and move on to next mission the 5 mission fail move on is hard coded so it worcks with all mod's

Really strange, I haven't never heard anything similar.
So far, perhaps it's some kind of weird bug in FS2 or in our mod, but anyways Ashrak's suggestion should work, but if the problem still exists in following missions...

Hi,

I downloaded the demo from a variety of the official mirrors linked to from the downloads page... I had a few problems getting decent bandwidth from several so I can't remember which server I downloaded each file from.

Are there any known issues with particular servers? Should I re-download everything from one specific server and reinstall from that?

I had the same problem, i just had to wait a while and then jump.
You must wait till they order you to jump.

I've had the same problem when trying to remove the mod. I identified it as FS2 getting confussed with mixed table files as I had forgotten to replace the MOD weapons table. If I went into the loadout screen I had no primaries and was given no options to load them either.

This may or may-not be the same problem.

FS2 debriefing gives you zero kills if you fail in mission. Don't jump before command says jump.
