-- Minbari Stealth tech. (https://volitionwatch.game-warden.com/vwbb/showthread.php?threadid=4353)

Question Minbari Stealth tech.

How hard would it be to make all the Minbari ships invisible to sensors like the Pegasus? Is there a box I can check in Fred2 or something?

Some people did it... I played a mission where I couldn't target the Sharlins... and in TBP the Jump Gates are not targetable, I think.

yeah, there is a button in FRED 2 I believe that makes a ship invisible. I think you go "Edit Ships" then press the "Misc" button. Should be a box to check that will make it invisible. I remember clearly asking this question about Minbari stealth last year and got a wonderfully negative response from one member of TBP team, but we won't use any names here.

Slick. Thanx. I love unbeatable odds. This should give the Minbari the edge they deserve. Might be good on Black Omega 'Furys too. They were said to have stealth tech.

I don't know, B5's Starfuries engaged and destroyed the Black Omega Furies in an episode.

the members of TBP said that with minbari ships non-targetable, wed be screwed, and we have to balance the game as much as we can...

if its a a setting that can edit in FRED2, then we should have them non-targetable in single player missions... for realism... then multiplayer can be made fair, but making them targetable.... after all, its not like starfurys have HOMING missiles that'll be affected.

Minbari stealth tech made the ships difficult to lock onto not imposssible. Since there is no way to simulate this it's best just left as it is in my opinion.

Don't forget that the Sharlins may not be targetable, but some Minbari ships are very easy to disable in key subsystems.

Perhaps it would be possible to have them not targetable until they reach a certain hull strength. Then when they get banged up enough, we can target them.

Kind of possible, but thats an awful lot of Events to make. Also, with waves of fighters it would be hard to do the events for those

Might be worth sombody converting an existing mission just to test how it works though.

Well I'm not very experienced with such things, so I don't think that person'll be me.

(And why don't the smilies work?)
