LOTR in uk
has legend of the Rangers ever been shown on uk TV eg Bravo or sci-fi? i've tried hunting round for it but can't find it, no 1 at the likes of HMV, Virgin have heard of it, hell i can't even find it on the likes of amazon.co.uk or play.com,cos i want to watch it even though from wot screens i've seen on the web amnot sure about the designs of some of the ships.
have you tried [edited]?
No offence Bobboau, but don't mention illegal sources.

AFAIK LotR has never been shown in Britain. It's most annoying. Fortunately I was able to get hold of it from the sort of source Bobb must have been on about so I'm not completely deprived but it is very annoying.
That said since I've seen it I didn't keep that much of an eye out for it so it could have slipped past me!

right, for those of you who have seen it, is it really worth gettin? cos from wot i have read its the usal storyline some big powerfull old race wants to wipe out life as we know it.
It's worth watching but unfortunately you get that feeling that you get with Crusade too - namely that it's a fun story but in the context of a bigger plot that would be revealed over time it would prove to be even better. It's a shame neither Crusade nor Legend of the Rangers really got a chance to provide this story, get fans hooked and then force the TV companies to keep making more!
BTW, I think that the only source you're going to get LotR in the UK is via the internet or friends/buying it from the USA.

It may come to DVD in a couple of years. I would see that happening.
Apparently theres rumors that even the Crusade episodes will be on DVD as well.

I once read the script for an unaired episode of Crusade that included Bester and a cameo by Garibaldi. I think I still have the link to the site that had it if anyone's interested.
Later!

I just checked by the site that I once read the synopsis on. Sadly, the script for that episode is no longer there. However, in the page's episode guide section, there are brief descriptions of 3 additional episodes including the season finale. Its unlikely that we'd see them with the eventual DVD release, as the page says these four eps "Will not be produced". Perhaps, one day the scripts, or at least partialy synopses of them will emerge and if the TBP project has progressed far enough, our capable and enthusiastic FREDers might chose to recreate them to some degree. Wishful thinking. In any case, the site I found them on is the Babylon 5 Spoiler Junkies Page.

I have also had difficilty finding LOTR, i got the Sci-fi channel trailer for it and it looked really good, what with the advances in computer generated effects.
Although i have heard some people saying its a big pile of steaming... well you know! Aparently the effects were great but the story line fell short.
I am however in the process of 'obtaining' a copy. So i can't wait to see it!
I'm not sure if the effects were better...only different.
Rangers was overall good...the only problems I had with the story was the minefield section (and the hyper karate style action
) and perhaps the fact that it was a whole lot derivative of most of the other Babylon 5 stories told so far. But, it was a pilot, they did take some chances and experimented and it was a worthy experiment. If the series had gone on, I think we'd have loved it...unfortunately it didn't.

Well i finally obtained a copy of LOTR. And an interesting idea it is too. The pilot showed a lot of promise and the return of G'kar was a good way of making it appeal to the original shows fan base.
But i'm affraid the story did fall short, the whole 'invincible-mysterious-anchient-nasty aliens returning to take over the galaxy' thing has been done before and i feel they didn't make the most of depth to the galaxy that B5 originally created.
Perhaps if they focused on the developing ISA or just more on the characters the could have made something more original.
As for the effects, they are visibly better, but the whole weapons thing was very funny! The poor girl looked like a demented frog trying to swim!
