some questions about the next release

Just wondering if there is any idea what release two will include, as in what new ships, missions, etc. I'm a newcomer here, so don't kill me if these questions have already been answered, or if the team has said there is no answer as of yet.

Also, since I know I would be severely injured if I asked when the next release will be, I'll just ask if there is an approximate idea yet...you know, will it be closer to two months or two years?

No approximate date for release.

I'm not going to give a full ship list at the moment. If I do, people will come back and complain later if something gets missed.

But the general idea of this pack is to fill out the ranks of the EA ships and probably some Minbari ships as well.

Expect stuff like the Thunderbolt, Omega, and G.O.D. Platform.

I'm happy you said that, i was worried you were going to try and release ALL the younger races ships in the next release, meaning we'd probably never see it

We'll see...the WhiteStar is going to be among the most difficult to do...we've got one, it sort of works, but nobody is happy yet and its not yet stable.

Unless the Whitestar really isn't ready at the time I can't see the next release being finished without it.

Too bad by the time the second release comes out, I'll be in the army. But I will be looking forward to it!!! I want to fly the Thunderbolt!!! I want to see beams!!!

What about missions? Will there be a new campaign in the next release? And I've noticed that you'll be including the bluestar in one of the releases. Does that mean there will be a campaign set after Crusade? (because the bluestar didn't make any actual appearances until 14 years after Crusade, though I'm sure it existed a little sooner)

There are many potential uses for the Blue Star.

Off the top of my head I can think of:
ISA vs Centauri
ISA/EA vs Telepaths (they said in Crusade that the situation was still volatile)
ISA vs Raiders

I believe the next release's campaign will focus on the Earth Alliance Civil War, as most of the ships in the next release will be of the EA.

Maybe the WhiteStar....but no promises at all. We want to do it as best as possible.

There will be a mini campaign based on the EA civil war released in the next release (IIRC) but the main campaign will take a while longer to be released.
